Someone once asked on LinkedIn, “do you think your job is threatened by AI?”. My answer is no. In my opinion, You cannot replace people with machines for a number of reasons, no matter how good the machine is supposed to be.
I present exhibit A638ey647 and hope there were no serious injuries.
ps, I see those cars all the time in Atlanta, I always assumed they were capturing film for google maps. While they are already using driverless rideshare cars out west, I don’t think Atlantans have that pioneering spirit. I have had this conversation with passengers who refuse to set foot in a driverless car. I wouldn’t either, my current boss is algorithm and AI mixed and I can point out several failures, including faulty directions (saying “turn left” but the map clearly shows a right turn, or turning onto a one way the wrong way), networking issues, and app glitches.

And it’s not that I’m a cynical butthole everyday, hell, some of y’alls phones need updates right now. I’m not depending on that, geosynchronous orbits of satellites and remote servers that get hacked regularly to transport me. And yes, people make mistakes too, but you know what I get from a person? accountability, “this went wrong, my bad” you think insurance underwriters try to wiggle out of liabilities now, just imagine the terms of use agreements with this technology. If anything were to happen, your only recourse is to kick the siding, but not too hard, or you will owe a bazillion dollars in damage fees
pss, okay just one more
